The Lutron RadioRA 3 In-Line Ceiling Fan Speed Control adds four-speed wireless control to a standard residential AC ceiling fan. The module mounts in-line in the ceiling void above the fan and joins the RadioRA 3 system over Lutron's Clear Connect RF, so fan speed can be set from any Vierti keypad, a Pico remote, the Lutron app, or a programmed scene.

How it works

  • Four fan speeds: low, medium, medium-high and high. Each speed is individually tuneable in the Lutron app to suit the specific fan.
  • Rated for one AC ceiling fan up to 100 W, 220 to 240 V, 50 / 60 Hz.
  • Neutral required.
  • Lutron Clear Connect Type A wireless at 868 MHz. Works independently of Wi-Fi.
  • Range: within 9 m of a RadioRA 3 processor or wireless repeater. Up to four repeaters can be added to extend coverage to 18 m line-of-sight per RF link.
  • Self-verification: on first power-up before pairing, the fan control runs the fan for two minutes so the installer can confirm correct wiring.
  • Remote device association lets the module be added to a system without physically accessing it after installation.

Compatible fans

Use to control one standard AC ceiling fan.

Not compatible with: DC motor fans, fans with integrated light control modules, fans with their own remote controls, Wi-Fi only fans, or shaded-pole motor fans (typical bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans).
