The Lutron HomeWorks Radio Window Sensor is an advanced solution designed to optimize the performance of Lutron shading systems. By detecting exterior light conditions, this sensor enables shades to adjust automatically, improving comfort and energy efficiency. The sensor's ability to maximize natural daylight and provide occupant comfort makes it an essential component for modern, automated environments.

Communication and Range:

  • Communicates with Quantum® or HomeWorks® QS systems via QSM
  • Supports up to 10 Radio Window sensors or Radio Powr Savr daylight sensors per QSM
  • QSM must be within 60 ft (18 m) line of sight, or 30 ft (9 m) through walls of the sensor

Mounting and Installation:

  • Flush mount to window mullion near the top of the window, close to the glass
  • Ensure the exterior view is unobstructed
  • Use double-sided adhesive for aluminum mullions or appropriate screws for other materials
  • Mount sensors on opposite mullions of each shade group
  • Position at a height accessible with a step ladder, ideally 10 ft (3 m) or lower
  • Avoid mounting on skylights or near objects casting shadows
