The Lutron HomeWorks LQSE-4M-D Motor Control Power Module is a versatile interface for integrating HomeWorks QS systems with AC blinds, shades, louvers, projection screens, or any compatible AC motor. This module provides four independently controllable AC raise/lower outputs from a common AC input feed, making it an essential component for automated motor control in home and commercial settings.

Features:

  • Seamless integration with HomeWorks QS systems
  • Four independently controllable AC raise/lower outputs
  • Fully programmable through HomeWorks system software
  • Mechanically interlocked outputs to prevent simultaneous activation
  • Supports up to 100,000 open/close cycles
  • Lightning strike protection up to 6000 V and 3000 A
  • LED indicators for status and diagnostics

Specifications:

  • Input voltage: 230 V~ 50/60 Hz
  • Maximum input current: 6 A
  • Standby power: less than 1 W
  • Maximum motor load per channel: 1.5 A
  • Designed for indoor use only
  • Operating temperature range: 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F)
  • Calibration point maximum: 65°C (149°F)
  • Relative humidity: less than 90% non-condensing
  • Compliance: IEC/EN 60669-2-1, EN50428, CE, Lutron Quality Systems registered to ISO 9001.2008

Mounting and Installation:

  • Use an IP20 (minimum) rated consumer panel or breaker panel with integrated DIN rail
  • Module width: 9 DIN modules (161.7 mm / 6.4 in)
  • Ensure proper separation of mains and low-voltage wiring per local and national codes
  • Run hot/live, neutral, and ground/earth wires from a 230 V~ 50/60 Hz feed to the module
  • Set upper/open and lower/close limits for each motor as per manufacturer's instructions before proceeding with line voltage wiring

QS Link Wiring:

  • Uses IEC PELV/NEC Class 2 wiring
  • Total length of QS link must not exceed 610 m (2000 ft)
  • Use 1.0 mm² (18 AWG) conductor for control power (COM) for lengths under 150 m (500 ft)
  • Use 4.0 mm² (12 AWG) conductor for control power (COM) for lengths over 150 m (500 ft)
  • Use one twisted-shielded pair of 0.5 mm² (22 AWG) for data link (MUX, MUX)

Normal Mode Operation:

  • Zone Select button selects the desired zone; raise/lower buttons control the selected zone
  • Supports Open, Close, and Unaffected presets only
  • Does not support shade groups, areas, discrete shade levels, or scenes
