Dual-Technology Occupancy Sensing
The GLS-ODT-C-CN utilizes a combination of ultrasonic and passive infrared (PIR) sensing technologies to achieve consistent and dependable occupancy sensing. Ultrasonic motion detection is highly sensitive to small movements over a large area, while PIR ensures superior immunity to false triggers from vibrations, inanimate objects, or adjacent corridor movement.
Ambient Light Sensor
A built-in photosensor detects the amount of ambient light in the room, allowing daylight harvesting to be performed. This feature can dim or keep the lights off when there is sufficient daylight in the room, further enhancing energy efficiency.
Walk-Through Mode
Walk-through mode quickly turns off the lights when a room is occupied for a short period. If a room is occupied for 90 seconds or less, the lights will turn off 60 seconds after the room is vacated, ensuring efficient energy use.
Grace Occupancy Feature
When the lights turn off in a room programmed to vacancy-only mode, a 15-second grace period allows the lights to be turned on again by simply waving a hand to trigger the sensor, providing convenience and flexibility.
Versatile Installation
The GLS-ODT-C-CN achieves a discreet, nearly hidden appearance when installed on a typical drywall or drop tile ceiling. Hardware is included for fast and simple mounting in a standard 4 in. octagon box or in a hole created with the provided cutout template. The sensor includes a built-in Cresnet connection for data and power and an input for an optional external photosensor. The 5-pin Cresnet connector is detachable for easy wiring.
Cresnet
The GLS-ODT-C-CN uses the reliable Cresnet wired network for communication between devices. Cresnet provides a simple solution for configuring and wiring keypads and sensors as part of any complete Crestron system, offering data communications and 24VDC power for all devices on the Cresnet network.
IR Remote
The GLS-ODT-C-CN can be configured using the GLS-REMOTE-ODT/OIR remote (sold separately), which eliminates the need for a ladder during setup. The installer can stand underneath the sensor and use the remote to adjust settings such as sensitivity, walk-through mode, timeout features, LED status, and Cresnet ID.
