The Crestron DM-TXRX-100-STR is a high-definition streaming transmitter/receiver designed to enable the distribution of AV signals over an IP network. Configurable as either a transmitter or receiver, this compact and versatile device supports streaming at resolutions up to 1080p60 and bitrates up to 25 Mbps. It is ideal for adding streaming capabilities to DigitalMedia™ systems, offering a reliable solution for HD AV signal distribution without distance limitations.

H.264 Streaming Capabilities

The DM-TXRX-100-STR supports high-performance H.264 streaming, enabling the distribution of HD content across a wired or wireless IP network. It can stream at resolutions up to 1080p60 with bitrates up to 25 Mbps. The device also supports unicast and multicast streaming with or without RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol). In addition to H.264, the DM-TXRX-100-STR can decode MJPEG streaming video, providing flexible deployment options for various streaming applications.

HD Streaming Transmitter

As a streaming transmitter, the DM-TXRX-100-STR allows connection of a laptop, camera, or other media source via HDMI, which can then be streamed over an Ethernet LAN, WAN, or Internet connection. The encoded signal can be routed to the streaming input of a DigitalMedia™ switcher or another DM-TXRX-100-STR, and viewed on compatible devices such as Crestron touch screens, digital signage displays, and computers. The built-in scaler handles sources with resolutions up to 1080p60, ensuring smooth streaming regardless of source resolution.

HD Streaming Receiver

When configured as a streaming receiver, the DM-TXRX-100-STR decodes streaming signals from sources like a DM switcher or IP camera, outputting them as HDMI to a display device, AV receiver, or switcher. Its low-profile design makes it easy to install behind displays, above projectors, or in equipment racks.

Device Control and Confidence Monitoring

The DM-TXRX-100-STR includes built-in RS-232 and IR control ports for controlling connected devices like displays and cameras. It also supports CEC over HDMI, allowing control of devices directly through the HDMI connection. In transmitter mode, the HDMI output can be used for confidence monitoring, enabling local viewing of the streaming signal.

Text Overlay and Web-Based Setup

The device supports text overlay, which allows dynamic or fixed text to be displayed on the video image for labeling, instructions, or announcements. Setup is simplified with built-in web pages, which allow configuration from a laptop, either standalone or integrated with a DigitalMedia™ switcher.

Low-Profile Installation

The compact, surface-mountable design of the DM-TXRX-100-STR allows it to be easily installed in various locations, such as behind displays, above projectors, or inside lecterns. It can be powered using the included wall mount power pack or via PoE (Power over Ethernet) for a streamlined, single-cable solution.
