The Crestron CLWI-DIMUEX is a universal phase in-wall dimmer designed for 230VAC applications, providing seamless control over various lighting loads. Featuring infiNET EX® wireless technology, it ensures reliable communication with Crestron control systems. This dimmer supports both forward and reverse phase loads, making it ideal for new or retrofit installations in residential or commercial settings.

Field-Replaceable and Engravable Buttons

The CLWI-DIMUEX features engravable buttons that can be swapped out in the field, allowing for easy customization to match any room décor or functionality. Configure the dimmer with a large rocker or any combination of up to two adjacent half-size rockers or triple button pads. Each CLWI-DIMUEX comes with a full assortment of blank buttons for maximum flexibility.

Integrated Keypad

As part of the Crestron network, the CLWI-DIMUEX can function as a keypad, sending commands to trigger whole-room lighting scenes or distributed audio functions. Supporting up to six buttons, this in-wall dimmer maximizes control capability in a small space while increasing the opportunity for Crestron control in every room. Standalone keypads that use Cresnet® or infiNET EX communications are also available.

infiNET EX® Wireless Technology

Ultra-reliable infiNET EX wireless technology provides steadfast two-way RF communications throughout a residential or commercial structure without the need for physical control wiring. Each infiNET EX device functions as an expander, passing command signals through to every other infiNET EX device within range (approximately 150 feet or 46 meters indoors), ensuring that every command reaches its intended destination without disruption. The CLWI-DIMUEX communicates with a Crestron control system via an infiNET EX Wireless Gateway (models CEN-GWEXER, DIN-AP3MEX, or MC3).

Streamlined Installation

The CLWI-DIMUEX features screw-clamp connectors for simplified wiring, reducing installation time and material costs. Its slim design allows for installation in square gang boxes, making it perfect for both new and retrofit projects.

Remote Dimming

The CLWI-DIMUEX supports dimming control of the same lighting load from multiple locations without requiring a special remote dimmer. Connect any standard maintained or momentary switch to the “remote” terminal on the CLWI-DIMUEX for on/off control. Momentary “push-button” switches provide full dim up/down and on/off control, allowing for easy replacement of existing dimmers and switches wired in a traditional multi-way circuit or designing new projects to accommodate remote dimmers.
