Real-Time 4K60 Video Performance
The DM-NVX-E20 is engineered for demanding AV applications, ensuring real-time, full-motion 4K60 video performance. Encoder Functionality
The DM-NVX-E20 provides a single HDMI input, allowing it to connect devices like laptops, cameras, or media players. It then transmits the encoded video over the network to one or more DM NVX decoders. The device is compatible with the DM-NVX-D20, DM-NVX-D200, and other DM NVX products that function as decoders, providing flexibility in network AV designs.
Fixed or Adaptive Bit Rate
The DM-NVX-E20 supports both fixed and adaptive bit rate streaming. Users can set a fixed bit rate between 200 Mbps and 950 Mbps, or enable adaptive bit rate, which adjusts automatically based on the input resolution. This ensures efficient use of available bandwidth while maintaining high video quality.
Analog Audio De-embedding and Surround Sound
The device features analog audio de-embedding, providing a stereo line-level output for local sound systems or soundbars. It also supports 7.1 surround sound audio, including formats such as Dolby® TrueHD, Dolby Atmos®, and DTS:X®, ensuring high-quality audio in professional AV environments.
AES67 Audio Embedding and De-embedding
The DM-NVX-E20 supports AES67 audio embedding and de-embedding, allowing it to transmit and receive 2-channel AES67 audio streams. These can be output via the analog audio port, facilitating integration with Crestron DSPs or third-party audio devices.
Copper Ethernet Connectivity and PoE Support
This encoder includes a single RJ-45 1000BASE-T Ethernet port with PoE support, enabling the device to be powered through a PoE Ethernet switch. This reduces the need for additional power supplies and simplifies installation.
Automatic Point-to-Point Connectivity
The DM-NVX-E20 can be directly connected to a DM NVX decoder, such as the DM-NVX-D20 or DM-NVX-D200, to enable automatic point-to-point connectivity. When a direct connection is detected, the devices automatically operate in point-to-point mode without requiring additional configuration.
Device Control via RS-232, IR, and CEC
The DM-NVX-E20 includes built-in RS-232 and IR ports for controlling connected source devices. It also supports CEC control over HDMI, allowing control of devices directly through the HDMI connection, potentially eliminating the need for additional serial cables or IR emitters.
Web-Based Setup and Management
The DM-NVX-E20 can be easily configured using its web-based setup interface. It can also be managed centrally through a DM NVX Director virtual switching appliance, which simplifies configuration and control across multiple devices.
