The Crestron GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN is a passive infrared (PIR) ceiling mount occupancy and daylight sensor designed to optimize energy consumption and enhance system functionality. Ideal for use in conference rooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, and other spaces, this sensor enables automation of lighting, shading, HVAC, and AV equipment. With a coverage area of up to 450 square feet, it combines occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting to maintain consistent lighting levels while reducing wasteful energy consumption.

Passive Infrared Occupancy Sensing

Using highly sensitive PIR technology, the GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN divides the field-of-view into sensor zones, detecting motion when a person passes between them. This ensures dependable motion detection with superior immunity to false triggers from vibrations, inanimate objects, or adjacent corridor movements. Detection sensitivity is adjustable for optimum performance, with timeout settings from 30 seconds to 30 minutes to maintain occupied status during short periods of inactivity.

Walk-Through Mode

The walk-through mode quickly turns off the lights when a room is occupied for a short period. If occupancy is detected for 90 seconds or less, the lights will turn off 60 seconds after the room is vacated.

Grace Occupancy

In vacancy-only mode, a 15-second grace period starts when the lights turn off, allowing the room lights to be turned on again by simply waving a hand to trigger the sensor.

Daylight Sensing

A built-in photosensor detects ambient light levels in the room, enabling daylight harvesting. This feature can dim or turn off the lights when there is sufficient daylight, ensuring efficient energy use and consistent lighting levels.

Ceiling Flush Mount Installation

The GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN achieves a nearly hidden appearance when installed on drywall or drop tile ceilings. It installs in a 1 in. (25 mm) diameter hole and is held in place by integrated compression clips. The optional MMK-RS pre-construction mounting kit simplifies wiring and sensor positioning during the rough-in stage and allows for completely flush mounting.

Room Usage Monitoring

The sensor is compatible with the Crestron XiO Cloud™ service, an IoT-based platform for remotely provisioning, monitoring, and managing Crestron devices across an enterprise. Built on the Microsoft® Azure® platform, Crestron XiO Cloud enables efficient deployment and management of thousands of devices.

Cresnet® Wired Communication

The GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN uses the reliable Cresnet wired network for device communication. Cresnet provides a simple solution for configuring and wiring keypads and sensors as part of a complete Crestron system, offering data communications and 24VDC power for all devices on the network.
