The Crestron CEN-IO-COM-202 is a compact, cost-effective Wi-Fi network I/O extender designed to expand the available RS-232 ports within a commercial or residential system. It features two bidirectional RS-232 COM ports with hardware and software handshaking, making it ideal for direct integration with third-party equipment. The module communicates to the local network over Wi-Fi® wireless communications and is powered via an included 5 VDC power pack.

Advanced Wi-Fi Wireless Performance

Crestron's enhanced Wi-Fi performance is optimized to deliver fast, dependable wireless communications with a 50 ft (15 m) omnidirectional range (conditions permitting). The choice of 802.11 a, b, g, and n protocols affords reliable, high-speed wireless connectivity in most RF environments. Up to five wireless access points can be memorized for easy connectivity within larger networks.

Integrator Friendly Enclosure

The CEN-IO-COM-202 features the Crestron IFE form factor, a compact Integrator Friendly Enclosure design that fits almost anywhere and enables a variety of installation options. Its shape allows multiple CEN-IO and other IFE compliant devices to be stacked together. Using the included mounting bracket, it can be fastened to a flat surface or snapped onto a standard DIN rail. Rack mount and pole mount kits are also available.
