A complete UniFi network for a normal family home: one gateway, one PoE switch and four ceiling access points. Specified and priced as one item rather than assembled part by part.

What it does

The Cloud Gateway Ultra does the routing, firewall and controller in one box, the Flex switch powers and feeds the access points over the same cable, and four U7 Lite access points cover the main areas of the house. Everything is managed from one UniFi console, on the wall or on a phone, with one WiFi name that follows you from the kitchen to the garden.

Why specify it

  • Four ceiling access points, one per main area, rather than one router fighting the whole house
  • WiFi 7 access points with 2.5 GbE uplinks, so the WiFi is not the bottleneck
  • PoE throughout, so each access point needs one cable and no local power
  • Guest network, device isolation and VLANs for AV, CCTV and work
  • One console for the whole network, and remote support without a site visit
  • Dual WAN is native, so a Starlink or 4G failover can be added as a configuration change rather than new hardware

What this assumes

Cat6 already in the walls, running back to a single comms location. Four access points is the baseline for a typical house, one per main area, and it is a starting point rather than a formula. Large, long or heavily divided plans need a walk-through before ordering, and a house with granite, underfloor heating foil or thick block internal walls will need more.

What is not included

Installation, termination and configuration are quoted separately, along with the patch pack: patch panel, keystones and leads, sized to the number of ports in your comms location. Structured cabling is first fix and is not part of this pack. If the house has no data cabling, talk to us before ordering, because the cable has to be in before the walls close.

Add-ons
